Abstract(s)
Sensory experience is essential in the interaction between body and object, but industrialisation and digitalisation have reduced tactile diversity in product design. This study investigates ways of recovering this dimension through the exploration of materials, textures and haptic properties that stimulate perception and encourage a more intuitive involvement. The results of this exploratory research are reflected in design proposals that reinforce the physical and emotional connection with everyday objects. In practice, modular systems have been developed that encourage experimentation and discovery through tactile interaction and free composition. The aim is therefore to promote active exploration and awaken sensory memories. By integrating touch and multisensory interaction, design can recover sensitivity to material experience in order to develop more meaningful products for users.
