O presente estudo avalia a viabilidade técnica e económica de um modelo de remanufactura
de bombas de alta pressão e injetores diesel aplicado ao transporte pesado, urbano e
interprovincial do Equador. O setor apresenta elevada dependência do motor diesel, forte
necessidade de peças importadas e ausência de processos locais padronizados com
rastreabilidade.
Este trabalho explora as oportunidades geradas pela diferença normativa entre a Europa e o
Equador, onde componentes diesel retirados do mercado europeu por exigências
regulamentares mantêm utilidade funcional no parque automóvel equatoriano. Neste
contexto, a remanufactura industrial surge como estratégia para recuperar valor, reduzir
custos e melhorar a disponibilidade das frotas, em linha com a economia circular.
O estudo desenvolve e valida documentalmente um processo padronizado e rastreável de
remanufactura desmontagem, limpeza técnica, inspeção metrológica, recuperação,
montagem e calibração complementado por rastreabilidade digital e por um comparador
económico de alternativas de reposição.
Os resultados indicam que a remanufactura de sistemas de injeção diesel é tecnicamente
viável e economicamente competitiva no contexto equatoriano, estabelecendo bases para
futura implementação piloto.
This study assesses the technical and economic feasibility of a remanufacturing model for high-pressure pumps and diesel injectors applied to the heavy, urban, and interprovincial transport sector in Ecuador. The sector shows high dependence on diesel engines, strong reliance on imported parts, and a lack of standardized local processes with traceability. This work explores the opportunities generated by the regulatory gap between Europe and Ecuador, where diesel components withdrawn from the European market for regulatory reasons still retain functional value within the Ecuadorian vehicle fleet. In this context, industrial remanufacturing emerges as a strategy to recover functional value, reduce costs, and improve fleet availability, in line with circular economy principles. The study develops and analytically validates a standardized and traceable remanufacturing process including disassembly, technical cleaning, metrological inspection, recovery, assembly, and bench calibration supported by digital traceability and an economic comparison of replacement alternatives. The results indicate that diesel injection system remanufacturing is technically feasible and economically competitive in the Ecuadorian context, establishing a solid basis for future pilot implementation.
