Integrada num curso de Design de Produto, a unidade curricular TRD3D, tem o seu foco na modelação tridimensional através do domínio de técnicas digitais que permitam a utilização de software de modelação 3D e síntese de imagem na representação virtual de objetos, conjuntos e ambientes. Resultante da experiência positiva das aulas online durante o confinamento, o presente artigo relata uma nova abordagem recorrendo a práticas pedagógicas híbridas com o objetivo principal de tornar as aprendizagens mais efetivas reduzindo temporalmente a curva de aprendizagem dos estudantes permitindo-lhes aplicar antecipadamente as competências adquiridas, em representação digital 3D, numa ótica de interdisciplinaridade com as unidades curriculares de Projeto. Com o recurso à plataforma MOODLE e às suas diferenciadas ferramentas foram propostos exercícios de aplicação de técnicas com um grau crescente de complexidade. Parte dos conteúdos curriculares foram preparados para e-learning com recursos vídeo (tutoriais e aulas invertidas) de forma a estimularem e desenvolverem as competências de autoaprendizagem. Cada exercício foi avaliado em termos formativos e fornecido o respetivo feedback. Terminada cada componente de e-learning os alunos demonstraram, na generalidade, em ambiente de sala de aula, a capacidade de aplicar as diferentes metodologias de modelação 3D e visualização virtual em projetos concretos de Design de Produto.
Integrated into a Product Design course, the TRD3D curricular unit focuses on threedimensional modelling through the mastery of digital techniques that enable the use of 3D modelling software and image synthesis in the virtual representation of objects, assemblies, and environments. As a result of the positive experience of online classes during the confinement, this article reports on a new approach using hybrid pedagogical practices with the main aim of making learning more effective by reducing the students’ learning curve over time, allowing them to apply the acquired skills in 3D digital representation in advance, from a perspective of interdisciplinarity with the Project curricular units. Using the MOODLE platform and its different tools, exercises were proposed to apply techniques with an increasing degree of complexity. Part of the curricular content was prepared for e-learning with video resources (tutorials and inverted classes) to stimulate and develop self-learning skills. Each exercise was assessed in formative terms and feedback provided. At the end of each e-learning component, the students generally demonstrated, in the classroom environment, the ability to apply the different 3D modelling and virtual visualization methodologies to concrete product design projects.
