O presente relatório foi elaborado no âmbito do Mestrado em Educação Pré-Escolar e 1.º Ciclo de Educação Básica, realizado na Escola Superior de Educação e Ciências Sociais do Instituto Politécnico de Leiria.
O documento tem como principal objetivo refletir acerca das experiências e vivências realizadas nos contextos de Prática Pedagógica, e apresentar um estudo investigativo que recai sobre os benefícios do contacto e exploração do brincar com materiais de fim aberto.
Este relatório encontra-se dividido em duas partes. A primeira está dividida em quatro subtópicos, que incluem a dimensão reflexiva em contexto de Creche, Jardim de Infância, e as Práticas realizadas no 1.º Ciclo do Ensino Básico.
Foca-se a importância da observação, e do processo de adaptação, bem como o vínculo como base do crescimento e bem-estar das crianças. A parte reflexiva relativa ao primeiro ciclo inclui o ciclo interativo e a sua importância para o professor.
A segunda parte do relatório diz respeito à dimensão investigativa, uma vez que possibilita compreender quais os benefícios e aprendizagens que emergem do contacto do brincar com materiais de fim aberto.
A segunda parte encontra-se subdividida em três subtópicos distintos, nomeadamente o enquadramento teórico, a metodologia, a análise dos dados e conclusões e limitações do estudo.
O relatório termina com uma conclusão que sintetiza e destaca, de uma forma organizada, os principais pontos-chave e, as aprendizagens mais relevantes ao longo de todo o processo.
This report was developed within the scope of the Master’s Degree in Pre-School Education and Primary Education, carried out at the School of Education and Social Sciences of the Polytechnic Institute of Leiria. The main objective of this document is to reflect on the experiences developed within the contexts of Pedagogical Practice, as well as to present a research study focused on the benefits of children’s contact with and exploration of play using open-ended materials. This report is divided into two main parts. The first part is organized into four subtopics, which include the reflective dimension in Nursery, Kindergarten, and the practices carried out in Primary Education. It highlights the importance of observation, the adaptation process, and the role of bonding as a foundation for children’s growth and well-being. The reflective component related to Primary Education also includes the interactive cycle and its importance for teachers. The second part of the report refers to the research dimension, as it aims to understand the benefits and learning outcomes that emerge from children’s play with open-ended materials. This section is subdivided into distinct subtopics, namely the theoretical framework, methodology, data analysis, as well as the conclusions and limitations of the study. Finally, the report concludes with a synthesis that highlights, in an organized manner, the main key aspects and the most relevant learning outcomes achieved throughout the entire process.
