Abstract(s)

Introductory considerations: Estimates based on the Survey of Adult Skills (PIAAC) show that, in all countries, on average, 9% of jobs are at high risk of being automated and, in 25% of jobs, 50% of the tasks developed will suffer significant changes du to automation. Studies also demonstrate that, historically, the biggest changes in production processes (such as those brought by the steam engine, the electricity and the assembly lines) caused loss of jobs in the short term, but, in the long term, we can find not only a job increase but also more productive and well payed jobs, and so, an improvement of living and working conditions.
