Educar para os direitos humanos: uma vivência de intervenção socioeducativa e artística entre pares

| dc.description.abstract | Este texto tem como temática principal a educação para os direitos humanos, centrando-se numa experiência de intervenção socioeducativa desenvolvida por estudantes de uma instituição de ensino superior e alunos de uma escola secundária, situadas na região centro de Portugal. No trabalho que aqui se apresenta, discute-se a importância de ações de educação para os direitos humanos, enquadradas numa visão transformadora da educação, em que se valoriza a educação entre pares desenvolvida em articulação com instituições da comunidade. Deste modo, procurou-se dar resposta à seguinte questão de investigação: em que medida a intervenção socioeducativa entre pares pode contribuir para a educação para os direitos humanos? Para dar resposta a esta questão, foi utilizado como instrumento de recolha de dados o inquérito por questionário, aplicado aos estudantes e aos alunos que participaram na intervenção socioeducativa. Como principais conclusões destaca-se que esta experiência de educação entre pares, que decorreu apoiada em linguagens artísticas, proporcionou aos alunos da escola secundária ganhos substanciais na aquisição de conhecimentos e habilidades, bem como, a construção de uma maior capacidade reflexiva e crítica. Por seu lado, os jovens estudantes do ensino superior reconheceram a importância desta ação na construção do seu saber-fazer, especialmente no âmbito da promoção da educação para os direitos humanos, mas também ao nível do saber-ser, enquanto cidadãos mais esclarecidos e interventivos. Por fim, é de destacar que tanto os jovens alunos como os jovens estudantes reconheceram que a utilização destas metodologias de intervenção socioeducativa possibilita a criação de espaços de educação e de empoderamento, imprescindíveis na construção de uma sociedade mais justa. | pt_PT |
| dc.description.abstract | This text primarily focuses on human rights education, centring on an experience of socio-educational intervention developed by students from a higher education institution and pupils from a secondary school, both located in the central region of Portugal. The work presented here highlights the importance of human rights education actions framed within a transformative vision of education, where peer education developed in a network with community institutions is valued. Thus, the research sought to answer the following question: to what extent can peer socio educational intervention contribute to human rights education? To answer this question, a questionnaire survey was used as a data collection instrument, applied to the students and pupils who participated in the socio educational intervention. The main conclusions emphasise that this peer education experience, supported by artistic languages, provided secondary school pupils with substantial gains in acquiring knowledge and skills, as well as the development of a greater capacity for reflection and critical positioning. On the other hand, the higher education students acknowledged the importance of this action in building their know-how, especially in the promotion of human rights education, but also in terms of know-being, as more enlightened and active citizens. Finally, it is noteworthy that both the young pupils and the young students recognised that the use of these socio-educational intervention methodologies allows for the creation of educational and empowerment spaces, which are essential in building a fairer society. | pt_PT |
