Abstract(s)

The opportunity to be intern at Westheimer Portugal, Lda. and to integrate the development of the Hillside House project allowed to do an ambitious work, experience various areas of graphic design, applying learned contents and concepts and new work techniques. This report is divided into two parts. The first part involves all information related to the curricular internship, the presentation of the company and the project, as well as all the work developed during the internship. In the second part, a theoretical-practical study is presented and the design of the signage is highlighted. The theoretical framework addresses themes in the area of Graphic Design, namely, communication and information design. The work process is described showing the practical application. The practical experience of the internship allowed me to apply the knowledge acquired throughout the course and strengthen the knowledge and skills as a graphic designer. The report contributes to systematize all the research, analyze methodologies and describe the actions developed, as well as compile in an organized way the information that is now a working tool.
