dc.description.abstractDe todos los pueblos establecidos por esclavos fugados en la Ć©poca colonial, Palenque es el Ćŗnico que ha sobrevivido, y ha luchado por mantener su identidad; por esta razĆ³n, como se verĆ”, es la cuna y testimonio de las tradiciones africanas en Colombia. En el 2005 la UNESCO reconociĆ³ Palenque con el galardĆ³n de Patrimonio Inmaterial de la Humanidad, desde entonces se ha consolidado el turismo en este corregimiento. La presente investigaciĆ³n se enfoca en dar respuesta a la pregunta: ĀæCuĆ”l puede ser una estrategia para el reconocimiento y valorizaciĆ³n de la identidad africana en Colombia? El estudio se desarrollĆ³ en tres etapas. Primero, revisiĆ³n bibliogrĆ”fica. Segundo, realizaciĆ³n de una encuesta para conocer las percepciones de potenciales turistas sobre Palenque respecto de las manifestaciones culturales de la comunidad y los factores que podrĆ­an proporcionar una experiencia memorable a los visitantes; la segunda etapa tambiĆ©n incluyĆ³ la realizaciĆ³n de entrevistas a los principales actores turĆ­sticos del corregimiento. Tercero, anĆ”lisis cuantitativo y cualitativo de los datos recolectados. Los resultados obtenidos muestran que el turismo cultural en San Basilio de Palenque, al permitir conocer los saberes, tradiciones y la cosmovisiĆ³n palenquera, se convierte en una estrategia para que los colombianos reconozcan y aprendan a valorar la identidad africana. Los resultados tambiĆ©n sugieren la necesidad de mejorar la promociĆ³n de este destino, y la importancia de promover estrategias estatales para el conocimiento y la salvaguarda de la cultura afrocolombiana. AsĆ­ mismo, se presenta una propuesta de fortalecimiento del turismo en Palenque que incluye la promociĆ³n del destino, mejoramiento de la infraestructura turĆ­stica y enfoque en la autenticidad del destino.pt_PT
dc.description.abstractOf all the villages established by escaped slaves in colonial times, Palenque is the only one that has survived, and has struggled to maintain its identity; for this reason, as will be seen, it is the cradle and testimony of African traditions in Colombia. In 2005 UNESCO recognized Palenque with the award of Intangible Heritage of Humanity, since then tourism has been consolidated in this area. This research focuses on answering the question: What can be a strategy for the recognition and valorization of the African identity in Colombia? The study was developed in three stages. First, a bibliographic review. Second, a survey was conducted to determine the perceptions of potential tourists about Palenque with respect to the cultural manifestations of the community and the factors that could provide a memorable experience for visitors; the second stage also included interviews with the main tourism stakeholders in the village. Third, quantitative and qualitative analysis of the data collected. The results obtained show that cultural tourism in San Basilio de Palenque, by making it possible to learn about the knowledge, traditions and the Palenquera cosmovision, becomes a strategy for Colombians to recognize and learn to value the African identity. The results also suggest the need to improve the promotion of this destination, and the importance of promoting state strategies for the knowledge and safeguarding of Afro-Colombian culture. Likewise, a proposal is presented to strengthen tourism in Palenque that includes the promotion of the destination, improvement of tourism infrastructure and focus on the authenticity of the destination.pt_PT
