O presente relatório descreve as atividades e competências desenvolvidas durante o período de estágio na Câmara Municipal da Covilhã, decorrido entre janeiro de 2022 e abril 2022. A experiência aqui descrita serviu como base prática para a conclusão do Mestrado em Design Gráfico, permitindo a aplicação de conhecimentos académicos num contexto institucional real. O documento apresenta um enquadramento teórico sobre conceitos fundamentais na área do design gráfico, contextualiza o funcionamento do Município e da Divisão da Cultura, detalhando de seguida o portfólio de projetos desenvolvidos. O foco centra-se na criação de suportes visuais para a comunicação pública e registo fotográfico de eventos culturais, visando mediar a relação entre a autarquia e a comunidade com clareza e coerência. Reflete-se ainda sobre o papel do designer na comunicação numa instituição pública, tendo como principais pilares o design e produção gráfica e o design de comunicação a guiarem a análise do trabalho apresentado.
This report describes the activities and skills developed during the internship at the Covilhã City Council, held between January 2022 and April 2022. The experience detailed served as the practical foundation for the acquisition of the Graphic Design master’s degree, enabling the application of academic knowledge within a real institutional context. The document provides a theoretical framework on fundamental concepts in the field of graphic design, contextualizes the functioning of the Municipality and the Culture Division, followed by a detailed portfolio of the projects developed. The focus centers on the creation of visual assets for public communication and the photographic recording of cultural events, aiming to mediate the relationship between the local government and the community, with clarity and coherence. Furthermore, it reflects on the role of the designer in communication within a public institution, with design and graphic production and communication design serving as the primary pillars guiding the analysis of the work presented.
