Este estudo analisa a influência da liderança servidora na satisfação no trabalho e na intenção de turnover dos Técnicos Superiores de Diagnóstico e Terapêutica na área da Radiologia. A liderança servidora, conceito desenvolvido por Robert Greenleaf em 1977, baseia-se na premissa de que os líderes devem priorizar as necessidades dos seus colaboradores, promovendo um ambiente de trabalho baseado na empatia, apoio e desenvolvimento profissional.
A metodologia adotada foi quantitativa, baseada na aplicação de questionários validados sobre liderança, satisfação e intenção de turnover a Técnicos Superiores de Diagnóstico e Terapêutica na Radiologia. Os instrumentos de medição incluíram a escala de Liderança Servidora (SL-7), a escala de satisfação no trabalho ESET (Escala de Satisfação dos Enfermeiros com o Trabalho) e uma escala de intenção de turnover traduzida e validada para o contexto nacional (de Sul & Lucas, 2020)).
Os resultados demonstraram uma correlação positiva entre a liderança servidora e a satisfação no trabalho, confirmando que profissionais que percecionam os seus líderes como servidores apresentam níveis mais elevados de satisfação.
A liderança servidora e a satisfação têm um papel preditivo importante na variável intenção de turnover, visto existir influência da liderança servidora na satisfação o que poderá ter impacto indireto na intenção de turnover.
Os resultados obtidos evidenciam algumas diferenças entre trabalhadores de entidades públicas e privadas embora a perceção da liderança servidora não varie em função do setor, a satisfação e a intenção de turnover refletem outras especificidades.
This study examines the impact of servant leadership on job satisfaction and turnover intention among Senior Diagnostic and Therapeutic Technicians in Radiology. Servant leadership, a concept introduced by Robert Greenleaf in 1977, rests on the premise that leaders should prioritise the needs of their employees, thereby fostering a work environment characterised by empathy, support, and opportunities for professional development. The research employed a quantitative methodology, utilising validated questionnaires to assess leadership, job satisfaction, and turnover intention among these professionals. The measurement instruments included the Servant Leadership Scale (SL-7), the ESET Job Satisfaction Scale (Nurses' Job Satisfaction Scale), and a turnover intention scale that was translated and validated for the national context (Translation and validation of the anticipated turnover scale for the Portuguese cultural context (de Sul & Lucas, 2020)). The results demonstrated a positive correlation between servant leadership and job satisfaction, confirming that professionals who perceive their leaders as servants exhibit higher levels of satisfaction. Servant leadership and satisfaction play an important predictive role in the variable turnover intention, since there is an influence of servant leadership on satisfaction, which may have an indirect impact on turnover intention. The results obtained highlight some differences between employees of public and private organizations, although the perception of servant leadership does not vary according to the sector; satisfaction and turnover intention reflect other specificities.
