| dc.description.abstract | Nos últimos anos tenho vindo pela vida adentro em busca de me conhecer, de me compreender e perceber as razões que me fizeram ser quem sou e porque o sou. Ao longo desse percurso tenho vindo a reconhecer a força indomável do tempo, o permanente estado de mudança em que nos encontramos, a potência dos encontros que temos, a importância de prestar atenção ao que nos rodeia e a subjetividade no momento de interpretar palavras que por vezes dificulta a nossa comunicação. Tudo isto e muito mais tem sido fulcral na minha prática artística. Reuni, então, diversos assuntos que têm sido como companheiros de produção. São eles o Amor; o Autoconhecimento; a Auto-representação; o Conhecer; o Corpo; o Desenho; o Desgosto; o Esquecimento; a Identidade; a Maternidade; a Meditação; a Mudança; os Pássaros; a Performance; a Poesia; a Repetição e o Tempo. A cada uma destas palavras-chave eu dedico um fascículo nesta dissertação. Recorrendo a textos, imagens, filmes, citações, músicas e poemas, procuro expressar o que entendo por estas palavras e quais os seus significados para mim. Este trabalho não se apresenta como um dicionário convencional, mas antes como um objeto de natureza íntima e reflexiva. Estou a dar-me a conhecer assim como ao meu trabalho plástico. Procuro, assim, dar-me a conhecer, tanto a nível pessoal como através do meu trabalho plástico, convidando o leitor a aproximar-se daquele que é, para mim, o esqueleto essencial destes temas. | por |
| dc.description.abstract | In recent years, I have been searching through life for self-knowledge, for understanding, and for the reasons that made me who I am and why I am who I am. Along this path, I have recognized the indomitable force of time, the permanent state of change in which we find ourselves, the power of the encounters we have, the importance of paying attention to what surrounds us and the subjectivity in interpreting words that sometimes hinders our communication. All this and much more has been central to my artistic practice. I have brought together several subjects that have been like companions in my production. These are Love; Self-Knowledge; Self-Representation; To Meet; the Body; Drawing; Heartbreak; Forgetting; Identity; Motherhood; Meditation; Change; Birds; Performance; Poetry; Repetition and Time. I dedicate a fascicle of this dissertation to each of these keywords. Using texts, images, films, quotes, music and poems, I seek to express what I understand by these words and what their meanings are for me. This work is not presented as a conventional dictionary, but rather as an object of an intimate and reflective nature. I am revealing myself as well as my artistic work. Thus, I seek to make myself known, both personally and through my practice, inviting the reader to approach what is, for me, the essential framework of these themes. | eng |
