O presente Relatório de Estágio insere-se no âmbito do Curso de Mestrado em Enfermagem Médico-Cirúrgica, na área de especialização em Enfermagem à Pessoa em Situação Crítica, da Escola Superior de Saúde de Leiria, integrada no Instituto Politécnico de Leiria, visando a obtenção do grau de Mestre e do título de Enfermeiro Especialista.
O relatório encontra-se estruturado em duas partes. A primeira parte corresponde a uma análise crítico-reflexiva do percurso formativo desenvolvido em diferentes contextos de prática clínica, nomeadamente Serviço de Urgência, Unidade de Intervenção Cardiovascular e Unidade de Cuidados Intensivos, evidenciando o desenvolvimento progressivo das competências comuns e específicas do Enfermeiro Especialista em Enfermagem Médico-Cirúrgica na área de Enfermagem à Pessoa em Situação Crítica, sustentadas na evidência científica e nos referenciais normativos da profissão.
A segunda parte refere-se ao desenvolvimento de um projeto de melhoria contínua da qualidade dos cuidados de enfermagem, intitulado “Necessidades de aprendizagem após enfarte agudo do miocárdio: base para intervenção educativa estruturada”. Este estudo centra-se na identificação das necessidades de aprendizagem da pessoa após enfarte agudo do miocárdio, com o objetivo de fundamentar a implementação de intervenções educativas estruturadas, orientadas para a promoção da literacia em saúde, adesão ao regime terapêutico e continuidade dos cuidados após a alta.
O percurso formativo descrito permitiu a consolidação do raciocínio clínico, da tomada de decisão fundamentada e da prática baseada na evidência, evidenciando o papel do Enfermeiro Especialista na prestação de cuidados diferenciados, na promoção da qualidade e segurança dos cuidados e na capacitação da pessoa em situação crítica e da sua família.
This Internship Report is part of the Master’s Degree Course in Medical-Surgical Nursing, specializing in Critical Care Nursing, at the School of Health Sciences of Leiria, integrated in the Polytechnic Institute of Leiria, aiming to obtain the Master’s degree and the title of Specialist Nurse. The report is structured into two parts. The first part consists of a critical-reflective analysis of the educational pathway developed across different clinical practice settings, namely the Emergency Department, the Cardiovascular Intervention Unit, and the Intensive Care Unit. It highlights the progressive development of both common and specific competencies of the Specialist Nurse in Medical-Surgical Nursing, in the area of Nursing Care for the Person in Critical Condition, supported by scientific evidence and professional regulatory frameworks. The second part focuses on the development of a continuous quality improvement project in nursing care, entitled “Learning needs after acute myocardial infarction: basis for a structured educational intervention”. This study is centered on identifying the learning needs of individuals following acute myocardial infarction, with the aim of supporting the implementation of structured educational interventions. These interventions are intended to promote health literacy, adherence to the therapeutic regimen, and continuity of care after discharge. The described educational pathway enabled the consolidation of clinical reasoning, informed decision-making, and evidence-based practice, highlighting the role of the Specialist Nurse in delivering differentiated care, promoting quality and safety in healthcare, and empowering the person in critical condition and their family.
