Abstract(s)
Sendo o desenho a área de atuação da componente prática desta investigação, é nele que (re)construo, de forma mais ou menos direta, a memória dos lugares que habito e que habitam em mim. O que apresento tem que ver com a vontade de fazer valer o que para mim é real e significativo. Represento, com isso, uma urgência de criação, que me é limitada por uma vertente racional, distanciando-me da possibilidade de um imaginário criativo. Em consonância com a parte prática, entra a pesquisa acerca da necessidade de expressão, através do desenho, e o bloqueio criativo para o fazer, levando-me a representar o que me é próximo e seguro. A representação, maioritariamente a grafite e com recurso à memória, pretende, nos meus desenhos, assumir o papel da criatividade. Desta forma, o mote para a presente pesquisa, parte essencialmente da questão do desenho do real e da sua (re)construção, como fuga à inevitabilidade de uma produção criativa, no contexto da arte contemporânea.
Drawing is the practical component of this research; it directly or indirectly reflects the memory of the places I inhabit and that inhabit me. What I aim to present is related to my desire to affirm what is real and meaningful to me. In this way, I represent a need to create that is constrained by a rational aspect, distancing me from the possibility of a truly creative imagination. In line with the practical component, I investigate the necessity of expression through drawing and the creative block that hinders it, leading me to count on what is familiar and safe. Representation, primarily in graphite and relying on memory, intends to assume the role of creativity in my drawings. Therefore, the central theme of this research is the drawing of the real and its consequent (re)construction, as a means of escaping the inevitability of a creative production within the context of contemporary art.
