dc.description.abstractLa visión es uno de los mÔs importantes sentidos que ayuda a las personas a navegar en nuestro mundo. Comúnmente las personas no videntes desarrollan sus otros sentidos para poder sentir sus alrededores, pero en ciertos casos esto no es suficiente. Los sentidos pueden ser perturbados por el ruido o enfermedades. Por esta razón se han desarrollado muchos artefactos para ayudar a este grupo de personas. Artefactos como bastones blancos o perros guía ayudan a las personas no videntes a moverse en su entorno. Este artículo propone el uso de un sistema que detecta y reconoce obstÔculos cercanos, dando una retroalimentación audible al usuario, evitando una colisión. Es un sistema inalÔmbrico para que sea cómodo para el usuario. El sistema ayuda a las personas con discapacidad visual a moverse en escenarios interiores o exteriores. Los objetivos del sistema es detectar los obstÔculos que los bastones blancos o los perros guía no pueden, ampliando su rango de detección.spa
dc.description.abstractVision is one of the most important senses that helps people interact with the real world. Commonly visually impaired develop their other senses to feel their surroundings, but in certain cases, this is not enough. The senses can be disturbed by noise or illness. For this reason, many artifacts have been developed to help this group of people. Artifacts such as white canes or guide dogs help sightless to move around in their surroundings. This article proposes the use of a system that detects and recognizes nearby obstacles, giving an audible warning in order to avoid a collision. The prototype is wireless with the purpose to be comfortable for the user. The system helps sightless to move around in indoor or outdoor environments. The objectives of the system are to detect obstacles that white canes or guide dogs cannot, expanding their range of detection.eng
