Abstract(s)
This project will analyze how women are represented in political posters
in Spain. We’ll take a look at the way they were depicted in the Republic,
throughout the Spanish civil war, Franco’s dictatorship, and democracy
looking at posters, and how the social-political design has changed since
then in Spain.
It will be a study about the correlation between all the periods to observe how
the design has changed. What stereotypes of women are used now versus the
ones that were used back then? Which ones have changed? Which ones have
stayed the same?
