Mais cedo ou mais tarde, as organizações acabam por concluir que é necessário
implementar um sistema de gestão de ficheiros e de processos, principalmente à medida
que a empresa cresce e que pretende ter um controlo efetivo dos seus processos internos.
Com este crescimento, é fundamental ter uma fonte única de informação, sendo que ter
um sistema destes que possa ser colocado online, através de um fornecedor cloud, eleva
ainda mais as suas capacidades. Existindo várias soluções no mercado, torna-se
importante o foco numa específica, daí a utilização da plataforma 3DEXPERIENCE para
os casos de estudo.
Foram estudadas duas organizações fictícias, com diferentes necessidades, para se
perceber se a plataforma 3DEXPERIENCE se adequa às suas necessidades. Em paralelo
foram também executados estudos de simulação estrutural e de impacto ambiental aos
seus produtos.
As conclusões gerais foram de que a plataforma 3DEXPERIENCE corresponde às
necessidades das duas organizações, dado que permite a gestão eficiente dos ficheiros,
criação e atribuição de tarefas, seguimentos de vários tipos de processos internos das
mesmas e comunicação com softwares externos.
No entanto, algumas questões relacionadas com a performance e estabilidade foram
levantadas, dado que o tempo necessário para efetuar determinadas operações é mais
elevado que em softwares locais e sentiram-se alguns problemas a gravar os ficheiros
para a cloud privada.
Sooner or later, organizations come to the conclusion that it is necessary to implement a file and process management system, especially as the company grows and wants to have effective control of its internal processes. With this growth, it's essential to have a single source of information, and having such a system that can be put online via a cloud provider further enhances its capabilities. Since there are several solutions on the market, it is important to focus on a specific one, hence the use of the 3DEXPERIENCE platform for the case studies. Two fictitious organizations, with different needs, were studied to see if the 3DEXPERIENCE platform suits their needs. In parallel, structural simulation and environmental impact studies were also carried out on their products. The general conclusions were that the 3DEXPERIENCE platform meets the needs of both organizations, as it enables efficient file management, the creation and assignment of tasks, the tracking of various types of internal processes and communication with external software. However, some issues related to performance and stability were raised, since the time needed to carry out certain operations is higher than with local software and some problems were experienced when saving files to the private cloud.
