- Process Mining for IS Project Management: A Systematic Literature ReviewPublication . Pedrosa, Joana; Magalhães, Luis Gonzaga; Martinho, RicardoRecently, process mining techniques have been used to discover, analyze, and improve business processes' performance, including project management processes conducted in IS projects. In this literature review, 383 documents were found and 59 were selected as relevant in the use of process mining for project management. These works were categorized according to the eight project performance domains presented by the Project Management Body of Knowledge. Approximately 50% were associated with the development approach and life cycle domain, in contrast to only 3% associated with the stakeholder domain. In addition to this review, other reviews were identified that explored the same theme but with an emphasis on agile software development. The process mining discovery techniques were the most applied in this context. The findings from the review suggested a gap in the literature regarding the correlation between process mining and IS project success.
