Abstract(s)
This report was carried out as a part of the Internship course of the master’s degree in computer engineering – Mobile Computing at the School of Technology and Management, which belongs to the Polytechnic Institute of Leiria. The Internship lasted 9 months and was carried out entirely in person at CapTemp, a company that specialises in developing IIoT solutions, monitoring, supervision and remote-control systems. The aim of this curricular unit is to provide experience in a business context, enabling the acquisition of new knowledge and the application of the various concepts learnt throughout the academic course, in order to achieve the expected results within the stipulated timeframe. The purpose of the internship was to migrate the company’s existing web platform, SensLive, to a more efficient and profitable version, using modern technologies. In addition, a mobile application was developed that performs the same function as the web platform, but with the particularity of being cross-platform. The result of the internship was a revamped web platform and a new mobile application, both developed to increase customer satisfaction and facilitate access to SensLive from anywhere. In addition, both the web platform and the mobile application are now ready to move on to the final stage before being put into production, improving SensLive’s overall performance and attracting new customers. These solutions, represent a breakthrough in the IIoT device monitoring market.
