| dc.description.abstract | Product Design - Cases development in internship context is the final report carried out under the Master degree in Product Design Engineering. This report consists on the development of projects during the internships in two different companies. The first internship started on the 1st of November of 2020 at SOPIECO, Lisbon, Portugal, and ended on the 31st of August of 2021 and one project was proposed for development: a road protection barrier. The project emphasizes the advantages of products produced by rotomoulding, due to their great resistance and possibility of having inserts directly in the manufacturing process, and the final design proposed was made to meet all project requirements. The second internship took place at Harni-Takahashi Ltd., Helsinki, Finland, from the 1st of March of 2021 to the 31st of May of 2021. During the internship there was an opportunity to participate and develop different tasks in several projects and to acquire and deepen different knowledge: colour theory, physical model making, product photography, how to present your product to a company, 3D modeling, technical drawing and manufacturing plans, creation and execution of functionality studies, and architecture. With this is possible to state that the internships have a fundamental role in giving meaning to the entire process of learning and in the integration of students in the work market. | pt_PT |
