Pulmonary rehabilitation (PR) is the cornerstone of non-pharmacological treatment of CRDs; it consists of exercise training, education and behavioral change, and it aims to improve patients’ health status and promote their adherence to health-enhancing behaviors. 3 Evidence of its benefits is unequivocal in treating chronic obstructive pulmonary disease4 and there is growing evidence that it is effective in improving exercise capacity and quality of life in other CRDs. However, if there is no maintenance strategy in place, the benefits of PR tend to deteriorate over 6 to 12 months.engCommentarySelf-ManagementChronic respiratory diseaseWeb platformE-healthPulmonary rehabilitationClinician’s Commentary on Tanguay et al.journal article10.3138/ptc-2019-0110-cc
