Mas isso carrega consigo uma responsabilidade social , que é em parte descredibilizada. O querer parecer mais do que aquilo que se é , levanta o medo de poder dar um passo em falso e já não se ser aceite. Aqui, coloca-se em risco a partilha presencial e pessoal da vulnerabilidade de cada ser humano e a necessidade de se ser aceite pela comunidade. O trabalho prático desenrola-se através deste desafio, expor a minha vulnerabilidade para que o outro se possa sentir confortável em fazer o mesmo. Para isto, são exploradas várias formas de captar a atenção do outro, trabalhando a proximidade entre a peça e o espectador, a dinâmica entre imagem, texto e a poesia visual. Através de vários códigos, danças de palavras e registos fotográficos é possível ler inquietações, medos e vergonhas, que de outra forma não seriam revelados. Neste documento exploro a dimensão de vários elementos que habitam o meu trabalho, em base nas minhas experiências pessoais e reflexões de outros artistas, sendo estes o quarto enquanto habitat/espaço, cama, cadeira, tenda e o poste de alta tensão.Our image has the power to take us wherever we wish to go, even to make us belong to niches we once thought unattainable. Yet this carries a social responsibility that is, in part, discredited. The desire to appear as more than one truly is raises the fear of taking a false step and of no longer being accepted. In this, the face-to-face and personal sharing of each human being’s vulnerability and the fundamental need to be accepted by the community is put at risk. The practical work unfolds through this challenge: to expose my own vulnerability so that others may feel comfortable in doing the same. To this end, various strategies are explored to capture the viewer’s attention — working on the closeness between the piece and its spectator, the dynamics between image and text, and visual poetry. Through different codes, word dances and photographic records, it becomes possible to read anxieties, fears and shames that would otherwise remain hidden. In this document, I explore the dimensions of various elements that inhabit my work, grounded in my personal experiences and in reflections by other artists.
