We take on the obligations and responsibilities placed upon us as members of a community straight away. The society, which is represented by the system, offers the tools for a structured way of life and it is designed with the goal of enhancing one's own well-being. The living situation represents an abstract version of life and it is primarily constructed of standardised items that represent the norms and values of a society that is always changing. This calls for an ongoing smoothing of the domestic environment in line with advancements, but without challenging the relationship between individuals and their immediate surroundings. In light of this, the project's goal is to promote reflection on the items' functions in the everyday life, to challenge the usefulness of the form associated with object identification, and to examine how identity affects or even draws attention to the use of things.
